Welcome to November Murwood Families!
Wow! What an amazing October at Murwood Elementary! Our Fall Festival and Murween celebrations were filled with laughter, creativity, and unforgettable moments—all thanks to our biggest group of volunteers yet. Your helping hands allow us to deliver wonderful, free events to our students and families. To each of you who donated your time to bring these festivities to life, we couldn’t have done it without you. October was truly memorable, and we are so grateful.
As we enter the season of giving, we’d also like to reflect on the incredible connections made over the past few months. Getting to know more of you has been such a pleasure, and remind us how special it is to bring everyone together.
Our strong sense of connection and support thrives thanks to membership and contributions to Murwood PTA. Right now, about 60% of our community are members, and we’re aiming for 100%! Membership helps fund appreciation events, community outreach, and resources like library books, art supplies, and more, all while helping us grow a closer community. Members enjoy benefits like our Membership Directory—a fantastic tool for organizing playdates, birthday parties, and staying connected—and voting rights that allow you to help shape priorities for our school.
So what's on tap this November? It's all about growing and giving!
To help us reach our 100% membership goal, we’re excited to introduce Gallop for Greatness: Membership Madness, a friendly, grade-level competition running throughout November! Each grade will compete to see who can bring in the most new PTA members, with exciting prizes along the way. If you’re not a member yet, now’s the perfect time to join!
In the spirit of giving, join us for our Handel’s Ice Cream Give-Back Night on November 12th, where 20% of the evening's sales will directly support our PTA. It's the perfect way to enjoy a sweet treat while supporting our school.
We also have our Auction for Education coming up in March—our biggest event of the year! Early Bird tickets are already on sale. Find out all the details below.
And, don't forget, many companies offer Corporate Matching, which can help double the impact of Annual Fund donations! Be sure to check with your employer to see if your contributions qualify for a match.
