Murwood PTA is about more than meetings and fundraisers—it's about building a fun, creative, and connected community. Whether it's surprising teachers with staff room treats, dancing to DJ Dave at the Fall Festival, or enjoying auction nights and socials, these events—and more—are made possible by our PTA.
Joining the Executive Board isn't as intimidating as it might seem, but we know it's not for everyone. That’s why we’re expanding opportunities to get involved in ways that fit a variety of interests and schedules, from committees to special events.
Our goals are simple: meet our caregivers where they are, and ensure our PTA reflects the rich diversity of the Murwood community we serve.

Building a Nominating Committee
Help us find candidates for next year’s PTA Board! This short-term volunteer role takes just 4–6 hours over two months. It’s a fantastic way to dip your toes into PTA involvement.
Preparing to Fill Open Board Positions
We’re looking for fresh perspectives to keep our PTA dynamic and inclusive. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or new to PTA, your ideas, experiences, and enthusiasm make Murwood thrive.
As part of our commitment to ensuring everyone in our community feels a sense of belonging and has opportunities to get involved in meaningful ways, we’re excited to introduce two new Board roles for the 2025-2026 school year:
VP, Family and Caregiver Engagement
Organizes caregiver socials, leads volunteer coordination, and plans staff appreciation and community service programming.
VP, Belonging
Focuses on celebrating Murwood’s diverse cultures, planning events like Multicultural Night, and ensuring our messaging and programs are accessible and inclusive for all.
