Murwood Elementary PTA Welcomes You!
PTA supports critical academic needs, is an active voice on decisions that impact your child’s health, safety and quality of education, and builds a stronger, more inclusive school community.
Becoming a member of the PTA shows that you want to help support the programs and events that help enhance our students' experience at school. It does not obligate you to attend meetings or volunteer. Always feel free to contact us if you have any ideas, suggestions, or comments. firstname.lastname@example.org
For tax purposes, our FEIN is 94-6183859.

AdvocacyPTA is the oldest child advocacy organization in the country. California State PTA (CAPTA) is hosting their annual convention in April. There are a few resolutions that are being proposed/discussed. Here are some links if you'd like to read more about them:
- Synthetic Nicotine & Tobacco-Free Products,
- Inclusive Education for Students with Cognitive Disabilities,
- Resolution on Equitable Literacy
- Resolution to Aid Rape Victims & their Families
Since 1983, Murwood and seven other Walnut Creek public schools have relied on parent donations to the Walnut Creek Education Foundation TK-12 (WCEF) to ensure the education your child receives goes beyond what the state funds. Sadly, state funding does not cover the cost of our art, music, science lab; as well as world languages and additional electives in our middle schools, libraries, math support, and much more.
It’s up to us. And it won’t happen without your support.
WCEF asks every family to make a tax-deductible investment toward your child’s education. From monthly donations to Venmo, gifts of stock to dine outs, matching gifts to donating your car, there is a way for all families to participate.

WCEF TK-12 is a non-profit 501(c)(3) federal tax ID #94-2915151.
