2025–2026 Theme
I Belong!

“I Belong!” invites students to explore, and express through their art and a short artist statement, what belonging looks and feels like - being accepted, valued, and free to be yourself.

How to Participate

1. Pick a category: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, or Visual Arts.
2. Create original work inspired by I Belong!
3. Write a short artist statement explaining your piece and how it reflects the theme.
4. Submit through Murwood PTA by the entry deadline following category rules and file specs (for submission deadline see "Entry Details")

Entry Details

• Eligibility Levels
  Primary: TK–2  •  Intermediate: Grades 3–5  •  Special Artist (students needing accommodations)
• Entries Due — October 15, 2025
• Tips for a Strong Entry
  • Follow category rules (format, size, file type).
  • Keep it original and make sure your artist statement clearly ties to I Belong!
  • Name files exactly as requested on the entry form.

After You Submit

After you submit, entries are reviewed by Murwood PTA. Standout entries that are selected may advance to the Council/District level, State level, and even reach the National PTA level. Recognition is offered at every level - from local certificates to national honors.
